Imphal, November 23 2019:
Lauding the decision of the Supreme Court to uphold the ruling of the High Court of Manipur to quash the MPSC 2016 results, and to conduct a fresh examination all over again, the MPSC Group of Aspirants have demanded the State Government to issue an order dismissing the candidates of the said examination who are now occupying various posts in the Government.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, MPSC Group of Aspirants' spokesperson Keisham Kishan said that as the Supreme Court has decided to uphold the ruling of the Manipur High Court as well as directed for a fresh examination to be conducted, it is time for the State Government to issue a notice terminating the candidates who were successful in the exam and are now holding various posts.
He also stressed on the need for a proper and efficient method or process for conducting MPSC examinations so that only the deserving and qualified candidates are selected.
On the other hand, as the Supreme Court has also approved the ruling of the High Court for a CBI investigation into the case, it is the duty of the State Government to do the needful at the earliest, he added, welcoming the SC's ruling.
