Imphal, April 22 2015 :
United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) on Wednesday said that it has learnt that one Limkhojam Haokip Chief of Tujang village, Chandel district, an intending candidate for the coming ADC/MDC election from 24-Tolbung ADC constituency, has issued a press release through State dailies on April 17 "probably under the instigation of certain group/individuals" thereby unnecessarily implicating UKLF Chairman SS Haokip by citing certain date and time associated with some undesirable activities during which the Chairman was not even present in the State.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, UKLF Information and Publicity Secretary MP Haokip said that Limkhojam Haokip should to try to convince the electorates of that interior area by looking into their hardships in terms of poor road connectivity, food, basic health care facilities, education etc., instead of targeting the revolutionary organization (UKLF) that have stood by the people of that region through their darkest hours.
UKLF said it has observed and concluded that the intending MDC candidate is not fit to represent that particular constituency since he failed to realised the basic needs of the people to ensure grass-root level development and hereby advice him to revoke his candidature in larger interest of the common people.
