66th All India Cooperative Week concludes

The 66th All India Cooperative Week 2019, organised by Manipur State Cooperative Union, Lamphelpat Imphal, Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Manipur Institute of Cooperative Management Imphal, concluded at ICM Lamphelpat today.
The All India Cooperative Week 2019 was organised with 'Role of cooperatives in new India' as the theme where topics like financial inclusion, technology adoption and digitalisation through cooperatives were highlighted.
Best Cooperator Award, Best Students Award and Best Cooperative Society (Hills and valley) Award were presented during the function.
Speaking at the function, CEO, MSCU, I Iboyaima conveyed that cooperatives will play a crucial role in making the country a 'New India' by 2022 .
With more people opting for quick and advanced methods in every aspects of life including online shopping, the public can easily visit the website of NABARD and check out the benefits and schemes provided under the financial institution.
He maintained that it is only when all the people come together and uphold the weaker sections of the society that the country will progress and subsequently be able to attain the status of New India.
Registrar of Cooperative Societies, GoM Robert Singh Kshetrimayum, president of Manipur State Cooperative Union L Tompishak Singh, Director, Planning Department Dr Th Munindro, Director ICM Dr N Ranjana attended the function as presidium members.
Meanwhile, DDM Imphal West/Senapati NABARD, RO Manipur Th Kiran Singh attended as a resource person.
