Chief Minister N Biren meets Principal Secy, Union Mins

Imphal, May 19 2017:
Chief Minister N Biren yesterday met
Nripendra Misra, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister and apprised
him of the status of issues raiesed by the Centre.
During the meeting, Chief Minister N Biren also highlighted
list of works that are to be undertaken by Manipur
Government in the first 100 days.
In order to redress the issue of regular potable water in
Imphal by undertaking drinking water schemes, the Chief
Minister requested to sanction about Rs 2239 crore for the
State at the earliest.
The Chief Minister also met Union Minister for HRD
Prakash Javadekar.
While informing Union Minister of various
developmental works initiated by the State Government,
Chief Minister N Biren requested Union Minister Javadekar
to consider the establishment of at least one model school in
each district of Manipur and to make IGNUTU, Regional
Centre as full-fledged university.
During the Chief Minister's meeting with DoNER Minister
Dr Jitendra Singh, request to introduce direct flights between
Delhi and Imphal from this summer was also put forth.
