Women vendors of Khwairamband Keithel launched a relay hunger strike on Wednesday demanding the State Government to book all culprits involved in the March 11 Khwairamband temporary Market shed bomb blast and to award exemplary punishment.
"It was an inhuman act that the blast claimed three lives, including one student, and left nearly 24 others injured", one of the protesters told media persons on the sidelines of the relay hunger strike staged at Khwairamband temporary market shed.
She said those who are exploding bombs in crowded public places are none other than people who are acting against the people and questioned why these people want to attack women vendors.

The protesters slammed the State Government for its inability to track down the perpetrators and take them into custody.
The Government should bring all the culprits to book and punish them severely, she demanded and alleged that the blast had taken place at the market place owing to the failure of the Government to take up proper security measures.
All CCTV cameras installed in and around Khwairamband Keithel should be re-activated, proper lighting system should be provided to the market shed and using of the temporary market as parking place should be stopped, she further demanded.
