In a press statement issued by the Hmar Students' Association (HSA), the student body notified that all government employees posted in Tipaimukh sub-division in Churachandpur district of Manipur should be in their area of posting when the student's body team will be visiting the area next week.
The student body warned employees who failed to be in their area of posting will be dealt with and action be taken against them.
The HSA team will be leaving for Tipaimukh on 21 January, 2008 from Hmarkhawlien village in Cachar district of Assam.
The team, comprising of 15-20 members, in their visit to the sub-division will look into the issues arising out of the poor educational system in the area, gregarious bamboo flowering which is currently causing acute food scarcity and into the controversial Tipaimukh Dam issue.
There will also be a meeting of the newly elected Office Bearers (OBs) of HSA, general headquarters and the previous OBs in Hmarkhawlien on 20 January, 2008.The new OBs were elected during the 51st HSA General Assembly held at Vairengte, Mizoram between 11-13 December, 2007 .
