Charter flight to commence service if Govt provides 40% subsidy

Lamjingba Management Services is planning to start a charter flight service from Manipur con-necting the entire North East States to neighbouring coun-tries, including an air am- bulance service in venture with Flying Birds Aviation, Mumbai, if the State Govt agrees to provide 40 % subsidy to the chartered flight service .
It is in addition to establishing an aviation, hospi- tality and tourism training institute called Sky Trip Academy at Changangei near Imphal Tulihal Airport .
Lamjingba Management Services's Chairman and Managing Director Sanasam Jacky conveyed to media personnel during a press meet held today at his office .
He said the Sky Trip Academy will be launched in January, 2018 with its classes commencing from the same month while the charter flight service is scheduled to begin from March 2018 .
Informing that the training academy will be managed with technical association with Flying Birds Aviation, Jacky stated that an agreement has been made on December 14 with the Mumbai-based academy in this regard .
The matter regarding subsidy in the proposed charter flight service will be put forward to the State Government for consideration and if it works out, the service will begin from March 2018, Jacky said adding the charter flight service will also include air ambulance .
Captain Ashish Kumar who is the CEO of Flying Birds Aviation informed that his company is a reputed dealer of aircrafts and helicopters in South East Asia and also provides various aircrafts consulting services across India and South East Asia .
He asserted that his company found Lamjingba Management Services Private Limited as a right partner while looking for a prospective partner to start an aviation academy in India .
As the two companies found a common set of vision, the agreement to set up Sky Trip Academy was made on December 14, Ashish said while confiding that the academy will provide training related to aviation, hospitality, and travel and tourism .
Pointing out that travelling in the North East region via flight is a lengthy process as there are no direct flight services and costs a lot, the CEO claimed that his company came out with a plan to start a regional charter flight service if the Government of the North East States agrees to give a subsidy.
