Jiribam, October 14 2016:
Khedagor Primary School which was constructed under the SSA funds recently is poorly managed owing to the absence of a Headmaster in-charge, vice-president of Muslim Students Organisation (MSO), Manipur State Committee Md Ahmed Ali, said.
Speaking to media person, Md Ahmed Ali said MSO took stock of present condition of the school and discussed about the educational atmosphere of the school with the officials of ZEO, Jiribam.
MSO also convened a joint meeting for the SMDC, guardians and MSO executives.
The ZEO, Jiribam, and officials were formally invited to attend the meeting so as to bring an amicable solution to the problem but none of the officials of ZEO, Jiribam, turned up for the meeting.
MSO has questioned the school authority of Jiribam whether it is the duty of students organisation or school authorities to look into the activities and development of school.
According to MSO the school has failed to provide school uniform and midday meal to its students.
They also maintained that the Headmaster of the school has not attended the school since it became functional and in place of him he has engaged a local teacher.
The bank account of the school is operated by the convenor and DI of School who is also the chairperson of SMDC, in the absence of the Headmaster.
Some of the SMDC members of Khedagor Primary School expressed their lack of knowledge about the utilization of school funds. To top it all, some of the school committee members of Khedagor Primary School did not know they are the members of school committee.
The president and general secretary of MSO, Manipur State Committee, said they will take up the matter with the higher authority and will submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister as the ZEO, Jiribam has failed to respond to the issue.
