Imphal, June 13 2012:
Reacting in a fuming tone against the charge of NSCN-IM that the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) and the Assam Rifles have nexus, the Zeliangrong outfit terms the former as 'anti-people and dreaded elements of the Nagas' .
A. Remroi, who is the joint secretary of the ZUF, asserted that NSCN (IM) is now bereft of any agenda and propaganda, and so it is resorting to target ZUF/ZTF cadres.
Remroi then alleged that NSCN-IM trained anti-Naga outfit such as Dimasa militants who latter razed down large number of houses in Zeliangrong villages in North Cachar Hills.
Around 85 Zeliangrong houses were burnt down by Dimasa militants, who were given training by NSCN-IM.
The ZUF leader also held NSCN-IM responsible for bringing miseries to the Zeliangrong community.
Many Zeliangrongs have been killed and NSCN-IM was involved directly and indirectly.
Moreover, the Naga outfit allowed the Kukis and others to snatch lands of the Zeliangrong people," the ZUF leader further alleged.
Ridiculing the NSCN-IM's slogan of 'Nagaland for Christ', Remroi said that it has now been converted to 'Nagaland for Bloodshed' .
On other issue, Remroi stated that the Zeliangrong outfit is very much concerned over the dispute in Zeliangrong areas including Chawangkining, Khonglong, Ntangkie Forest, Daron Namdai-B( near Bishnupur) Mhainamshi village lands, Kharam village lands, Pouringrong and Tumta (Ichum) village lands.
Rubbishing the NSCN-IM's allegation, the ZUF leader said the allegation was baseless and unfounded.
A Remroi instead hurled the same allegation to the NSCN-IM saying the outfit hobnobs with the Assam Rifles and not the ZUF.
The ZUF then warned that "strangers" should not meddle in the domestic affairs of Zeliangrong community.
"The ZUF will be concentrating to reclaim Zeliangrong lands occupied by other tribes," it affirmed.
