Parents of a Manipuri student who has been stranded in Kazakhstan Airport since the last 6 days have appealed to the Government to help in evacuation, reports our correspondent.
The student Luiramsing Zimik s/o Ngamlei Zimik of Mapao Zingtun village in Manipur had boarded a flight from South Korea to India via Kazakhstan.
He had reached Almaty Kazakhstan on January 6 to board his connecting flight to India, but the current situation in Kazakhstan had rendered the airport non-functional.
He is at present lodged at Hotel Mika.
Ngamei Zimik had submitted a request to the MoS Ministry of External Affairs on January 7 requesting the Indian Embassy to help in evacuation of his son.
