Kangpokpi, December 10 2017:
Authority concerned of District Hospital Kangpokpi today clarified over the delivery case on Friday evening stating that the doctor and nurse on duty never told them to stay the night at the hospital verandah .
A pregnant woman had delivered a baby without any medical assistance after admission to the district hospital was denied over alleged incomplete documents.
The patient party and the woman left the hospital after spending a night at the hospital verandah without any medical assistance.
The pregnant woman delivered the baby after she reached residence of a relative .
Dr Simte, Sr MO in-charge clarified that owing to some incomplete documents and other formalities the doctor and nurses on duty after basic examination of the pregnant women asked them to complete the formalities required.
There was still time for her delivery so the patient party was asked to complete the formalities, he said .
He alleged that the pregnant woman and her family did not spend the night on the hospital verandah.
The patient party was waiting for the rain to stop, said the MO in-charge.
He further alleged that the hospital authorities have been doing their duties and serving the people wholeheartedly even beyond their duty time and schedule .
"The hospital authority condemned the false allegation which maligned the hard earned image and reputation of the hospital, the doctors and nurses concerned", said Dr Simte while appealing public to not spread alleged misinformation in future.
