Jiribam, June 10 2022:
Villagers of Harinagar in Jiribam district have appealed to the authorities concerned to commence repair work on Harinagar road by June 20 and warned of agitation in case of failure to comply with their demands.
Speaking to media persons, Chinglemba Khuman, president of Harinagar Mangal Club stressed on the significance of Harinagar road and stated that the road links important sites such as the Helipad ground, District Hospital and Ningsingkhul.
Expressing discontent over the lack of action by authorities concerned, Chinglemba mentioned that past appeals to fix the road had repeatedly fallen on deaf ears.
"The poor condition of the road has negatively impacted the lives of all villagers especially school students and daily wage earners who have to trod through this sad excuse of a road even when it rains", he added.
It may be noted that Harinagar road also links many other villages namely Uchathol, Harinagar, Bidyanagar, Aglipur etc.
