Don't equate COVID-19 with any one religion: NRFM

The coronavirus outbreak should not be given a religious colour and the patients should not be treated differently.
They (COVID-19 patients) should be treated with care and love, said National Revolutionary Front, Manipur in a statement issued by its information and publicity secretary, Sanajaoba Meitei today.
Emphasising the need for collective efforts in defeating the coronavirus, NRFM acknowledged that the State is so far successful in containing the spread of the virus.
People of Wuhan in China's Hubei province had endured 76 days inside their homes to contain the spread of the virus, NRFM said encouraging people of the State to stay at homes to effect the lockdown.
Lauding the frontline workers, doctors, nurses and Manipur police for their dedicated efforts, NRFM stated that the State's porous borders should be sealed strictly to avoid influx/smuggling in of illegal migrants/outsiders.
Strict actions will be taken up against persons involved in smuggling in of people amidst the coronavirus fear, said the outfit.
