JAC to boycott Assembly elections

Imphal, January 10 2012:
The JAC Against the Unnatural Death of N Adish Singh has strongly condemned the brutal killing of N Adish (2) and demanded the state government to bring out the culprits by January 19 .
The JAC has also announced its decision of boycotting the coming 10th Manuipur State Assembly Election scheduled on January 28 in the event of government failing to meet the demand.
Two-year old N Adish of Laphupat Tera was found murdered brutally in the night of December 31, 2011 .
Condemning the killing, a public meeting was organized jointly by the JAC, Clubs and Organisations of Laphupat Tera Arong Khunnou and Khordak and the Meira Paibis at the community Hall of Laphupat Tera Khunnou today.
The meeting adopted a number of resolutions including boycott of the Assembly election if the government fails to bring out the culprits by January 19, to give full support in finding out the culprits by the people living in and around Laphupat Tera and to press the concern department for the same, to give befitting punishment to the culprit if they (culprits) do not surrender to the government by January 19 .
The public meeting was held with Sunil Karam, President, NIPCO; Manihar, President, MAPI Council and Salam Pishak as presidium members.
