COVID-19 awareness programme held at Paona, Thangal Keithels

The Peoples' Task Force for COVID-19 (PTFC-19) in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Manipur State branch and Association for Health Care Providers of India have been continuously conducting awareness programmes on COVID-19 in various villages and localities.
As part of conducting such programme, a team of PTFC-19 volunteers along with its co-convenor, headed by its convenor, organised an awareness programme in Paona Keithel and Thangal Keithel.
During the awareness programme, many shops and customers were found flouting the COVID SOPs and guidelines in these market areas.
Awareness was imparted to the people in the two market places.
Shopkeepers were asked to keep sanitizer at the entrance of their shops and to not let customers crowd the shop or allow entry inside.
Further, the customers and shoppers were advised to maintain physical distance, wear face masks and not to crowd up a spot.
Shopowners were strictly advised to followed the SOPs and warned that action will be taken against those found violating the guidelines.
The team will conduct more such awareness programme in other crowded, market areas.
Similar awareness programmes were also held in United club and Library in Uripok Khoira Selungbam Leikai, Rims road and in Sega road Khwairakpam Leikai Community Hall which was held in association with the Children Radio Listening Club.
PTFC-19 in association with Lairenjam COVID-19 Task Force, Lairenjam Sorarel Seba Community, YSMC, NISC, SCO and LSUYC also conducted awareness programme in Lainingthou Sorarel Community Hall.
