AR aids evacuation exercise

Imphal, May 09 2023:
IGAR (South) under the aegis of Spear Corps facil-itated evacuation of stranded people who were staying at IGAR (South) Mantripukhri relief camp on Tuesday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that out of nearly 3000 refugees from sev-eral areas taking refuge in Mantripukhri relief camp, AR escorted 183 refugees including 85 male, 66 fe-male and 32 children from the Mantripukhri camp to Churachandpur.

Meanwhile, under the joint initiative of govern-ment of Madhya Pradesh and IGAR (South), 24 students of MP were evacuated on Tuesday.
According to the PRO IGAR (S), three students from National Institute of Technology, six from Indi-an Institute of Information Technology and 11 from National Sports Universi-ty, Imphal were evacuated safely to Bir Tikendrajit In-ternational Airport, Imphal.
