Dimapur, March 09 2014:
NSCN-IM general secretary Thuingaleng Muivah today said the Government of India has "no wisdom and guts" in their approach to deal with the Maga political issue.
But at the same time Muivah also said the NSCN-IM understands the herculean problems burdening India.
"We understand that the Government India has to deal with so many problems," stated Thuingaleng Muivah.
However, India has "no wisdom and guts" in dealing the Naga political issue, added Muivah saying such a situation needs 'wisdom and guts' .
Talking to journalists minutes after he and NSCN-IM chairman Isak Chisi Swu landed at the Dimapur Airport this afternoon from New Delhi, Thuingaleng Muivah said that the Government of India should understand that the Naga people are 'anxiously' waiting to see the 'solution' for decades now.
The NSCN-IM leader rued that the Government of India is "not coming forward" .
"Whatever might be the circumstance, India should settle the Naga political issue," he stated.
"India keeps assuring the Nagas with several things but we are not satisfied with such assurances," Muivah added.
Thuingaleng Muivah then held the resignation of Delhi's interlocutor RS Pandey as the reason for not holding formal talks during their four-month stay in the national capital.
Swu and Muivah arrived in Delhi from Dimapur on November 19 last year to resume the Indo-Naga peace talks which have been held up for the past one year.
The last time both the representatives of the Government of India and the NSCN-IM leaders had held formal talks was in December, 2012 .
Muivah terms the resignation of RS Pandey as the interlocutor as 'unfortunate incident' .
RS Pandey has resigned from his post as the Centre's interlocutor to fight the ensuing Lok Sabha polls from the BJP ticket in Bihar.
"We do not expect the Government of India will end remaining silence this way.
For a long time the talks have been held up.
The talks must go on and solution should be there," stated Thuingaleng Muivah.
"However, we are not disappointed," the NSCN-IM leader said and added, "When the time is fine, the talks will resume" .
Swu, Muivah, their spouses and ten other NSCN-IM leaders arrived here from Delhi today.
