Imphal, September 05 2020:
The National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Konyak Region) today said that they wished to clear the air of commotion and confusion created since the expulsion of kilonser Starson, Lt Gen Niki and Lt Gen Nyemlang from the party membership.
According to a statement signed by its chairman Maj Gen Shahlem, they have been expelled as they have backtracked from their National commitment and have committed anti-National activities.
"The entire Konyak National workers under NSCN/GPRN are fully intact.
We firmly support the party decision and reaffirm our commitment to the leadership of Yung Aung.
"We, the Konyak Region will not allow the artificial boundary created in early 1970s to divide the Konyak family or the Nagas as a whole.
"Today, we strongly uphold the unity and integrity of all Nagas whether they are from South, North, East or West.
We will not remain a silent spectator to anti-National elements who try to disrupt the Naga independent struggle spearheaded by the NSCN/GPRN," the statement read.
