The 3rd Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) State conference, which began from February 2, wrapped up atBal Bhavan indoor stadium today.
Speaking at the event, Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that the entire North East region has witnessed rapid development after the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP Government came to power in the Centre.
He said that in the case of Manipur as well, there are no more tensions between the hills and the valley and the difference in development between the city and rural areas has also decreased.
The CM further encouraged the youth to implement means for generating self employment instead of running after Government jobs as it will provide employment opportunities for others as well.
N Biren also appealed to the people and all those concerned to refrain from imposing bandhs or blockades/ strikes from time to time and also opined that students should not get too much involved in politics.
He conveyed that time is precious and the stage of a student from class IX to XII is very crucial.
As such students should make the best use of this time, he added and expressed desire for every student to complete at least graduation or post graduation.
The CM further stressed on the importance of discipline in bringing change to the society.
He also stressed on the importance of preserving and improving one's culture and traditions.
