17th foundation day of Slopeland Public School celebrated

The 17th foundation day of Slopeland Public School was celebrated at its campus at Khongjom Salt village in Thoubal District yesterday.
The celebratory function was attended by Karam Shyam, Revenue, PDS & Consumer Affairs Minister as chief guest, chairman Slopeland Public School, Khongjom Yendrembam Themboi Singh as functional president and founder principal, Slopeland Public School and Director Museum Imphal, Mutua Bahadur as guests of honour.
Speaking at the occasion, chief guest Karam Shyam stressed on the importance of developing discipline and sincerity among the students right from the childhood and urged the parents not to keep their wards far away from them for ensuring love, care and affection is not compromised from young age.
Stating that education is vital for all, the minister said discipline should be taught at early stage of student's life so that they can become a resourceful and respected individuals in future.
As part of the function, founder member, teachers and successful former pupils of the school were honoured with modest gifts.
