Disinfectant sprayed in different parts of the State

Imphal/Thoubal, July 31 2020:
To prevent the spread of novel coronavirus, sodium hypochlorite was sprayed at containment zones of Thoubal and Khangabok, today.
Under the aegis of former Chief Minister Okram Ibobi, Thoubal Kendra COVID-19 AID Team sprayed sodium hypochlorite at Thoubal Moijing, Sabantongba, Ningombam and Thoubal Wangmataba, today.
The team also carried out a sanitisation drive at Thoubal Okram and Thoubal Achouba.
The Super Social Development Club (SSDC) and Pakhangkhong Youth Development Association (PYDA) also sprayed disinfectant at Ward no 9 of Thoubal Municipal Council and Thoubal Achouba.
Meanwhile, disinfectant was also sprayed at Khangabok Khullakpam Leikai Part-1, which was declared a containment zone following the detection of people infected by COVID.
The drive was carried out under the aegis of BJP worker, Menjor Mangang.
It is reported the sanitisation drives were also conducted today at areas under the jurisdiction of Waiton Gram Panchayat and Nongmeibung.
Meanwhile, in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis in the State, the Eastern Students Club (ESC), Nongmeibung today sprayed out sodium hypochlorite disinfectants around the area covered by the club.
The disinfection exercise was carried out in association with Manipur Fire Service, said ESC and expressed gratitude to L Nabachandra, Joint Director, Manipur Fire Service for assisting the club with fire service vehicles and other spraying equipment.
The club also thanked MAHUD Department for the supply of disinfectants.
