AHTA sets 48 hours ultimatum

Ukhrul, January 31 2021:
All Hunphun Tangs Association (AHTA) and Ukhrul Town Localities Association have set 48 hours timeline to initiate the repairing works of the incomplete section along NH-102 (A) from Dungrei (0 km - 11.6 km) of Ukhrul town.
Briefing the media, AHTA president Chonmi Raleng stated that despite repeated assurance and agreement with Tangkhul CSOs, contractors and NHIDCL in a meeting to complete the work before December 2020, the work agency has failed to carry out their commitment.
The people of Ukhrul town expressed their disappointment against the lethargic work and warned the contractor concerned that any unwanted incident of public uproar should be the prime responsibility of the contractor concerned.
Ukhrul ADC Councillor, Edmund Chiphang also expressed concern and mentioned that the contractor concerned has totally neglected a portion of the town road under his DCC area, under the pretext of Christmas celebration.
Edmund further urged the State Government to conduct spot verification and establish the ground situation to contemplate legal action to ensure worthy services to the public.
