Proscribed group People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) have observed 38th Red Army Uprising Day at its General Head Quarter, Tactical Head quarter, other base area, transit camp and Training center yesterday.
The uprising day of the red army � the army wing of PREPAK started observing the day since March 26, 1980.The outfit has been waging war against the government of India to liberate Manipur (Kangleipak) from the forceful occupation.
A statement by the Secretary-in-charge, Publicity and Propaganda of the outfit , LeibaakNgaaka Luwang said that people inhabiting at both hills and valley region attended the 38th Uprising observance at various area.

At its main observance held at its General Head Quarter, Chief of the Army staff, Red Army Lt.Colonel N.Romi Meitei presided over it while Finance Secretary Aheiba Angom attended as Chief Guest.
G-1 and G-2 of the outfit also share the dais as guests of honour.
The statement of the Secretary-in-charge, Publicity and Propaganda said that the observance began by lighting lamp by the Chief guest and later by hoisting the seven - colour flag.
The cadres sung 13 discipline song and also observed 2 minutes silence as a mark of respect to the departed cadres of the out outfit who were martyred while struggling for the movement.
Chairman of the Military Affairs Committee presented his speech where villagers from various part of region attended, the statement said.
In his speech the Chairman highlighted on how the region has been occupied and suppressed by the colonial force for over 60 years.
He said that India is showing its ego in the field of development and science and technology and also for being among the 6 countries which have nuclear science technology.
" The revolutionary movement have to bear hardship of the occupational force in such a situation to liberate from the occupational force.
It is the collective wisdom of the people of the region we can defeat colonial force.
In this hour we need to stand collectively and united to fight the common enemy", the Chairman of the Military Affairs Committee said.
Chief guest of the observance stressed on how to change the strategy of fighting the enemy with the changing of the time.
He also encouraged the red army and appeal the need to follow discipline.
At 707 battalion, the 38Th Red Army Uprising Day observance was held by hoisting the seven colour flag of the party by Commanding Officer of the Battalion Kanbiba.
