Imphal, March 27 2015 :
With their eyes firmly set on the ADC election, a joint meeting of BJP Manipur Pradesh office bearers, convenors and co-convenors of different cells was held today.
The meeting presided by party president Th Chaoba resolved to field BJP candidates in all 140 seats of the six ADCs.
A meeting of the party's office bearers and Morcha president's would be held on March 30 which would be followed by another meeting of the State election committee.
The party's poll strategy would be announced after the election committee's meeting, informed a source.
The election committee constituted recently with a view to the ADC election is headed by Th Chaoba as chairman and M Ashnikumar as convenor.
Leaders of different communities who are at present BJP members are also present in the 15-member committee.
Maintaining that the previous ADC election held in 2011 was not free and fair, BJP Manipur Pradesh has decided to exert strong pressure on the Central Government so as to make this year's ADC election free and fair and at the same time ensure that voters can vote without any sense of fear or violence.
According to information received by press, BJP Manipur Pradesh is mostly likely to fight the ADC election on the plank of the Congress Government's non-performance and lack of development in hill districts.
