Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam today flagged off a team of 65 State Youth Congress members, who will take part in a rally to be held in New Delhi on September 25 under the theme, 'Jawab Do, Hisab Do, Achche Din Kaha' .
Thousands of Youth Congress members drawn from different States would gather for the rally at Jantar Mantar on the day to question the BJP led NDA Government whether they have accomplished what they had promised to the people to achieve within 100 days.
Although, 85 State Youth Congress members would take part in the rally, a team of 65 members were today flagged off from Congress Bhavan by Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam, who is also the President of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee.

On the sidelines of the flagging off ceremony, Gaikhangam said that additional State security forces might be deployed again in Ukhrul if the need arises or law and order deteriorates.
Saying that many violent incidents had happened in the district after withdrawal of additional security forces, Gaikhangam said that those who demanded the removal of security forces might have realised the need for security deployment in the town now.
He said that the decision for removing additional State security forces from Ukhrul town was taken after considering all the pros and cons and security situation.
Responding to a query on the progress of investigation of different violent incidents, which recently occurred in Ukhrul, Gaikhangam said that everybody knows that these were the handiwork of NSCN (IM) .
Regarding the truce pact between Government of India and NSCN (IM), Gaikhangam said that the ceasefire agreement does not extend to Manipur and both the Government of Manipur and Centre had stated the same on many occasions.
Regarding upcoming Hiyanglam AC by-election, Gaikhangam said that E Dwijamani's name has been recommended to the party high command as the party candidate.
The former MLA would be announced as the party candidate soon after MPCC gets approval from the party high command, he added.
Responding to a query whether Namo wave would pose any threat to Congress in the upcoming by-election, the Deputy Chief Minister said that there is no such wave in Manipur and Congress candidate would come out victorious in the upcoming by election as well.
He said that BJP led NDA Government had failed miserably to accomplish what they had promised to achieve within 100 days.
