25 more test positive, 32 discharged

Twenty four COVID-19 positive cases have been detected at RIMS and JNIMS during the last 24 hours while 32 COVID-19 patients were discharged today following recovery.
This brings the total number of positive cases in the State to 482 .
According to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, 14 individuals tested positive for COVID-19 at RIMS and another 12 at JNIMS.
Four were tested positive at RIMS yesterday followed by 9 more today.
Out of the nine individuals tested positive at RIMS today, one belongs to Ukhrul, five to Tamenglong and three to Noney.
It said that special care should be taken up for people above 60 years of age as they are highly vulnerable to COVID-19.Meanwhile outreach teams of Health Department today went to Mongsangei, Phayeng, Bashikhong, Kongba, Wangbal, Heirok, Kumbi and Thongjao, and held awareness programmes about COVID-19.32 people undergoing treatment for COVID-19 (25 at JNIMS and 7 at RIMS) tested negative for the contagion today and they have been duly discharged.
