As her family members are still confined in a quarantine centre, the COVID-19 patient from Thangmeiband who has now fully recovered is most likely to be discharged from hospital after April 9 .
A joint meeting of JNIMS COVID-19 management core committee, the Health Director and the State quarantine team held today discussed about discharging the young woman who happens to be the State's first COVID-19 positive case.
Her family members who are currently housed in a quarantine centre would go home tomorrow.
Doctors of JNIMS would talk with them in the morning of April 9 about discharging the woman, informed JNIMS Director Dr Th Bhimo.
After she is discharged from hospital, the woman should self-quarantine for 14 days.
As such, it is essential to talk with her family members before she is discharged, Dr Bhimo said.
The last three tests of the woman's sample tested negative for COVID-19, said the Director.
On the other hand, the State's second COVID-19 positive patient from Lilong who attended a religious congregation at South Delhi's Nizamuddin last month was tested again yesterday and it turned out to be positive.
However, his health condition has not yet shown any sign of deterioration, according to information received from the State Health Department.
