Class X and XII CBSE students : Parents urge Govt to arrange special exams

CBSE Victim Students Guardians Association, Manipur has urged the State Government to arrange special examinations for the students who have not got admit cards for Class X and XII examinations till date.
Speaking at a press conference held at Manipur Press Club, association secretary L Tampha urged the State Government to make special arrangements for these students before the end of CBSE examinations commencing tomorrow.
Tampha said that over 2000 students of different schools are on the verge of losing their academic year as they have not got their admit cards till date.
As such, guardians of these students conducted a meeting and resolved to appeal to the State Government in this connection.
Saying that schools are mushrooming in different parts of the State, Tampha urged the authority concerned to verify the details of these schools to avoid similar instances in future.
Taking part at the press conference, United Committee Manipur general secretary K Joy said that such unwanted situation arises due to the negligence of the State Government.
He said that the Government must properly verify the schools before they are finally allowed to take admissions.
Joy demanded the Government to take action against these schools which are being run with only the intension to earn money.
He added that UCM has submitted memoranda to the Prime Minister, Union Human Resource Development Minister and Chairman of the Central Board of Secondary Education in this regard.
