Reportedly, a team of Heingang Police Station inspected the scene of the blast and registered a case yesterday night itself.
On the other hand, residents of Kontha Khabam Maning Leikai staged a sit in protest in condemnation of the bomb attack.
The sit-in protest was organised by Yaipha Sindam Naharol Club (YSNC).
Many participating protestors sat with placards inscribed with slogans like "we condemn bomb blast in residential areas" among others.
Speaking to media persons, an older unnamed protestor strongly condemned the act and raised the question of who will take accountability for such a violent act.
As such, he demanded the responsible party to come forward.
