Reports of water gushing into the living quarters of many have also been reported at Neihsial Veng, New Zou Veng, and PCI Colony Zenhang Lamka.

Several NGOs and philanthropic organisations have lent their hands in shifting household goods and providing relief materials to the affected people.
The district administration is also understood to have stepped up relief efforts by setting up relief camps and providing essential items to those affected in collaboration with the local NGOs.
Deputy Commissioner Sharath Chandra Arroju has already assigned a nodal officer to monitor the situation.
He has also requested the CEO ADC Churachandpur and all the SDOs to clear drainages/nullahs alongside roads to prevent clogging in view of the incessant rain which it said is causing flash floods in many areas.
Additionally, the DC has also asked the SDOs and BDOs to provide immediate relief such as rice, dal, salt, oil and packaged drinking water to the flood affected households.
They are also instructed to coordinate with medical officials and take note of rise in water-borne and communicable diseases and take adequate measures to mitigate any possible outbreak.
