Najma leads in extending Christmas wishes

Imphal, December 24 2019:
Governor Dr Najma Heptulla has conveyed warm greetings to the people of Manipur, especially the Christian brethren, on the auspicious occasion of Christmas.
Praying for the festival to bring joy and happiness to the State, she appealed to the people to remember the noble teachings of Jesus Christ and recall His efforts towards creating a compassionate and equal society.
Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly, Yumnam Khemchand also wished the people, especially the Christians, on the occasion off Christmas festival.

Works and RD&PR Minister Th Biswajit Singh and Social Welfare and Co-operation Minister Nemcha Kipgen also greeted the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of Christmas.
They further prayed for the festival to bring peace and prosperity in the region.
Republican Party of India (A) Manipur State Committee, Shiv Sena Manipur State Unit, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) Manipur State Unit and Manipur Peoples' Democratic Front also conveyed wishes to the people on the occasion of Christmas.
The Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) has greeted the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of Christmas, reports our Kangpokpi correspondent.
KIM president Khaimang Chongloi wished that Christmas brings ever lasting peace in the State among all the community.
He said that Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace and his birth is widely celebrated as Christmas across the globe.
The KIM president continued that Manipur is a beautiful place with diverse communities where the Christian community also play a vital role in maintaining peace and harmony.
He further said that Christmas being the biggest festival for the Christian community, KIM wish the people of Manipur the unconditional love of God in this festive season and wish that the State of Manipur be filled with warmth and good cheer.
The United Naga Council (UNC) has extended its best wishes to the people on the occasion of Christmas.
"May this Christmas bring peace and understanding in the society," said the UNC greetings, reports NNN.
The UNC also extended its best wishes for a prosperous and meaningful 2020 .
