Pointing out that the Government is keeping its door open for holding talks in connection with closure of educational institutions All Manipur Students Guardians' Organisation has appealed to the agitating student bodies and their supporters to hold talks so as to resolve the present impasse at the earliest possible and allow resumption of normal classes.
Addressing a press conference in this connection at its Palace Compound office, Organisation president Y Renghang Chothe informed that on October 17, a memorandum was submitted to the CM urging for taking serious note of the present crisis following closure of educational institutions.
In response to the memorandum, the Chief Minister has conveyed that the Government is keeping its door open for talks with the agitating student bodies and their support.
As the Government is now ready for talks, the agitating student bodies should respond to it and try to resolve the present crisis so that the education of the students is not deprived any longer, Chothe said.
