The protesters held plac-
ards that read 'we want
ILPS', 'long live Manipur',
'pass a new Bill during the
upcoming Assembly session'
and 'we condemn wanted tag
on Kh Ratan.'
A woman protester stated
that it is very unfortunate that
the State Government an-
nounced wanted tag against a
person who worked with
dedication to safeguard the
indigenous people of Mani-
pur.
She further said that the
Government cannot suppress
the people's voice and divert
the issue by declaring Ratan
as a wanted man.
The woman also urged the
Government to revoke the
decision as soon as possible
before the situation gets ag-
gravated while cautioning that
they would not remain silent
on the issue.
She asked the State Gov-
ernment to act as per the MoU
inked with JCILPS and pass
a new ILPS Bill in the up-
coming On the other hand, the woman also condemned the police action
meted out to school students.
It is unbecoming on the part of the police to fire teargas
shells and mock bombs at the young students who staged
democratic agitations.
