Imphal, January 19 2022:
Chief spokesperson of BJP State unit Ch Bijoy has claimed that the Congress party doesn't have the ability to form a stable Government after the 12th Assembly election and continued that the party is aware that they won't win more than 15 seats.
Speaking to media persons at Nityaipat Chuthek today, Ch Bijoy maintained that certain small parties claiming to play a key role in the next Government formation is rather shameful.
Even if NPP wins 20 seats will they be able to form the Government on its own, he asked and added that such tall claims coming from a small party is a validation of wanting a hung Assembly which cannot bring forth a stable Government.

The people of Manipur don't want a hung Assembly, he added.
He continued that BJP is striving to win over 40 seats as targeted as a coalition Government doesn't have the power to eliminate corruption and such an arrangement hinders developmental activities.
To form a stable Government, it is imperative to not waste votes on parties which have no chance of forming the Government, he said and added that BJP will be the only party to field candidates in all 60 Assembly Constituencies.
Congress too doesn't have what it takes to form a stable Government, Bijoy claimed and continued that what other small parties want is to instal an inefficient Government composed of varied parties.
Continuing that a coalition Government can never run a State smoothly, the BJP spokesperson maintained that NPF, however, is a good coalition partner of the BJP which ensures peace and stability in the State.
A specific party demanding Ministerial posts for all its elected members is not acceptable at all in a coalition, he added.
