Dr Ranjan kicks off Jan Ashirwad Yatra

BJP, Senapati district accorded a warm welcome to MoS Dr RK Ranjan Singh at ADC, Conference Hall, Senapati, today.
From there, the MoS kicked of his 3-day Jan Ashirwad Yatra.
On the occasion, Dr RK Ranjan Singh sought blessings from the people to perform his duties truthfully.
Dr Ranjan also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi always aspired to develop the North Eastern States.
Similar programme was earlier held at Mao Gate, near Traffic Point.
At the event, Dr Lorho Pfoze, MP (Outer Manipur) stressed on the need to repair the sinking portion at Mao Bazar while BJP State president A Sharda Devi thanked the Prime Minister for giving a Ministerial berth to Dr Ranjan.
Sharda Devi; Agriculture Minister O Lukhoi; Gen Secretary (Org), Abhay Kumar Giri; BJP Vice president, Yuh Jonathan Tao, Vice president, Meena Banta, Gen Secretary, L Deven; Chairman Caretaker, ADC, Senapati A Kapani and Thaikho Peter, Senapati District BJP President were among the guests who attended the programme apart from members of the BJP.
RK Ranjan Singh was also accorded a warm welcome by people of Kangpokpi.
As soon as the Union Minister of States External Affairs and Education, Dr RK Ranjan arrived at Kangpokpi town, the local MLA Nemcha Kipgen greeted him and his team.
After lunch, they visited the district COVID-19 Vaccination Centre at Inspection Bungalow, Kangpokpi.
The team handed over protective gears provided by the local MLA to the District Vaccination Manager in the presence of CMO Kangpokpi, Medical Superintendent District Hospital Kangpokpi and DSO Kangpokpi.
A giant banner inscribed with, "Thank You Narendra Modiji, Prime Minister and BJP Central Committee for appointing Dr RK Ranjan as Union Minister of States External Affairs and Education" was displayed to show gratitude to the Prime Minister and the BJP Central Committee.
On the sideline of the ceremony, old-age pension cards were also handed over to eligible senior citizens by the MoS and other dignitaries.
Elegantly donned in Thadou traditional waistcoat, Dr RK Ranjan appreciated and thanked the people of Kangpokpi for their love and support.
He also conveyed gratitude to the Prime Minister for appointing him as the MoS.
Local MLA Nemcha Kipgen said that the recent inclusion of two Cabinet Ministers and three Ministers of State is the highest ever representation from the North East so far in the Union Cabinet.
While drawing the attention of the newly appointed Union Minister of States, MLA Nemcha Kipgen said that the commitment of Dr RK Ranjan Singh in imparting knowledge in the academic world had an enormous impact in Manipur is unquestionable while adding that the Union Minister of States firmly believe that education is a means to overcome all types of differences and facilitate human capital formation.
The MLA also pointed out that the institutionalization of higher education with separate boys and girls hostels in Kangpokpi has always been a dream we cherish for as it is rightly quoted by Nelson Mandela that education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world and appeal the Union Minister for his kind intervention.
A memorandum was also submitted by Lunseh Kipgen, Chairman Kangpokpi Town Committee on behalf of the people of Kangpokpi, urging Dr RK Ranjan to institute a Government College and construct Tribal Boys and Girls Hostels at Kangpokpi District Headquarters while highlighting a brief account of Kangpokpi, as one of the oldest towns in the State.
