After Sandham Ibomcha Meitei (46) s/o late Tamphajao Meitei of Yorbung Maning Leikai, Imphal East district confessed his wrongdoings and tendered an apology on July 2 this year, the CorCom has excused his anti-social and anti-revolutionary activities.
According to a press release issued by CorCom media coordinator Ksh Yoiheiba, Sandham Ibomcha was the main instigator of a mob which projected the revolutionary movement in the wrong light apart from demolishing the house of an innocent person on October 23, 2013 .
At the instigation of Ibomcha who was then a Pradhan of Sawombung Gram Panchayat, the innocent person was even banished from the locality.
Sandham Ibomcha not only pledged not to do anything against the revolutionary movement but also declared that he would accept any punishment that may be awarded to him in case he ever indulges in any anti-revolutionary activity.
However, two other people accused of instigating the mob have been defying CorCom's warning.
In case the duo fail to communicate with the CorCom at the earliest, the committee would never pardon them, it added.
