Oil tankers to move on Jiri road today

Imphal, July 14 2019:
After transportation of petroleum and petroleum products was halted for 12 days, empty oil tankers would move on Imphal-Jiribam highway tomorrow together with CRPF escorts to bring fuel to the State.
According to information received from IOCL's Imphal Divisional Retail Sales Office and All Manipur Petroleum Products Transporters' Association, efforts are being made to take along maximum number of empty oil tankers and LPG bullet TTs in the CRPF-escorted convoy which would leave Imphal for Silchar tomorrow.
A number of empty oil tankers and LPG bullet TTs have already started lining up since this morning.
It would take around eight days for these tankers to bring fuel to Imphal.
Meanwhile, loaded oil tankers and LPG bullet TTs which are stranded at Khatkhati started moving towards Silchar this evening to reach Imphal via Jiribam, said the sources.
