She said some passerby who found him unconcious at the spot contacted the contractor who was entrusted with the contract work of Sangai Festival of 2012 edition.

Echan lamented that agricultural land belonging to the family had to be sold to continue treatment of her husband and the contractor has not fully cleared the wage deserved by her husband.
Punshiba could have become much bettter now had he undergone physiotherapy which is too expensive for the poor family.
"As a housewife with three kids I don't have too much choice in such a situation," she rued.
Echan who is looking after her family by doing any available work in the locality said she is finding it hard in educating their children.
She said the family has not received any kind of assistance from the Government till date though IPS officer Thounaojam Basanta had provided financial assistance to them.
Tiken Chanam, one of the locals said it will be better to admit Punshiba in Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) as the hospital provides free treatment to poor families.
