Imphal, January 12 2012: Cor-Com's bomb attacks targeting Congress candidates, workers and offices have been continuing without any respite with a spokesperson of CorCom detailing the list of bomb attacks it has carried out since the last few days.

Today too, a hand grenade exploded at the residence of one Ayekpam Joychandra (45) at Tera Maibi Leirak under Patsoi AC at about 6.15 this evening.

It is said that Ayekpam Joychandra is a supporter of the Congress party.

Though the grenade exploded at the residential gate of Joychandra, there was no report of any casualty.

He is a supporter of Congress candidate in Patsoi AC AK Mirabai.

On the other hand, unidentified persons lobbed and exploded a hand grenade at the residence of one Md Abdul Kalam Azad at Sangaiyumpham Cherapur Mathak Leikai at about 11.35 pm yesterday.

However, no one was hurt in the explosion.

Sources said that Abdul Kalam is a supporter of Congress candidate in Khangabok AC Okram (O) Landhoni.

Another Congress worker, Thokchom Arun (38) of Kyamgei Leirak Wangma who is a supporter of Minister Allaudin Khan was threatened by some unidentified persons this morning who gifted him a hand grenade at about 7.30 .

The grenade which was suspected to have been lobbed last night was picked up by explosive experts of Manipur Police and set it off safely at Kyamgei Loukon.

The office of Khongman Development Committee located Khongman Zone IV was attacked with a hand grenade by some unidentified persons who came in a Bolero jeep at about 10.10 pm yesterday.

However, the grenade failed to go off.

Decrying the bomb attack, local people staged a protest demonstration today.

Further, another grenade hurled by unidentified persons exploded at the residential gate of Congress worker Ningthoujam Angou of Lilong Chajing Chingkhong at about 7.30 pm today.

However, there is no report of any casualty.

Another grenade was also found near the blast site and it was retrieved by police.

Meanwhile a spokesman of CorCom claimed that its cadres were behind the act of setting afire the Congress office at Umathel Makha Leikai on January 8, bomb attacks at the residences of IMC Chairman, Raghumani at Kwakeithel Nganappi Thong and Congress worker Waikhom Sonachand at Waikhom Leikai on January 8 .

January 9 : Setting afire the Congress office at Wangoo Heinouyangbi at 3 am, firing at the residence of Congress worker Basanta in the same locality, placing a bomb at the residence of Block Congress president at Kakching Khunou at about 9 pm, placing a bomb at the residence of one Thokchom Sanayaima at Patsoi at about 8 pm, placing another bomb at the residence of the Congress candidate at Andro at about 9 pm.

January 10 : Placing bombs at the residences of Suraj at Haobam Marak and at Nambol Thiyam, blasting a bomb at the residence of Congress candidate at Heirok, M Oken in the night, lobbing bombs at the residences of the Congress candidate at Langthabal AC Shyama and at the residence of one Manglem at Hiyanglam.

January 11 : Blasting a bomb at the residence of Tongbram Brojen at Sagolband and exploding another bomb at the residence of a general secretary of the Congress Sanjoy Yumkham, placing a bomb at the residence of Congress candidate in Keishamthong AC L Jayentakumar.

January 12 : Placing a bomb at the residence of one Thokchom Arun at Kyamgei and triggering bomb blasts at Tera Loukrakpam Leikai and Chajing Mairenkhong in the evening.
