Silchar-Moreh rail survey completed: Kalraj

In line with the Government of India's Act East Policy, survey for a railway line from Silchar to Moreh has been completed, claimed Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Kalraj Mishra.
He was speaking at a felicitation function held in his honour at the State BJP office here this afternoon.
Kalraj Mishra stated that many Union Ministers have been visiting the North East region regularly at the instruction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in order to assess different development projects being implemented in the region.
Survey work for railway connectivity between Silchar and Imphal has been completed and it would be taken up as a national project.

For processing lemon grass available in Manipur, the State has already procured a machine at the cost of Rs 70 lakh.
"Compared to 1978-79 when I visited Manipur, BJP's position has improved considerably in the State today, Kalraj Mishra remarked.
With more and more political heavyweights joining BJP, the party's strength has grown by leaps and bounds.
If the party can sustain its growth momentum, one can anticipate a BJP Government in Manipur.
The Central Government led by Prime Minister Naren-dra Modi stands for the poor and unemployed youth, and the Government is committed to their welfare.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been shouldering responsibility for 125 crore people of the country.
BJP is committed to bring uniform development across the country.
To bring development in rural areas is one primary agenda of the BJP Government.
Already 32 crore people have been enabled to open bank accounts with zero balance.
At the same time, many insurance schemes have also been launched.
Plans are also afoot to give specific training to youth in order to develop small scale industries in the country, Kalraj Mishra claimed.
Hailing BJP Manipur Pradesh president Th Chao-ba's claim about the party's commendable victory in the State's local body elections, the Union Minister assured that Rs 80 lakh would be sanctioned for different central sponsored schemes to be implemented at Panchayat level another Rs five crore for Municipal Councils.
He then appealed to all the people to work collectively in order to bring a BJP Government.
BJP Manipur Pradesh president Th Chaoba, MLA Kh Joykishan and many party leaders were also present at the felicitation function.
