Missing persons found dead

Even as the two persons who have been missing since April 29 have been found dead today, Kuki Students Organisation, Sadar Hills (KSO-SH) has threatened to call an indefinite bandh in Sadar Hills if the State Government fails to trace the culprits involved in the murder of the duo within 48 hours.
Seitinlal Kipgen (52) s/o late Haokholem Kipgen of Bongbal Khullen in Saikul Sub-Division of Sadar Hills, Senapati district and Tongsat Haokip (37) s/o Tongkhulen Haokip of Masenjang village, Churachandpur district never returned home after they went out on April 29 in search of their buffaloes.
Seitinlal was running a pharmacy at Nongpok Keithelmanbi and Tongsat Haokip was working as a carpenter at Bongbal Khullen.
Their decomposed bodies were found on the hilltop of Narengpokpi located between Nongpok Keithelmanbi and Itham Moirangpurel.
The corpses were deposited at JNIMS morgue where families identified the bodies.
It is said that some villagers from Andro who went to the hilltop came across the bodies at around 9.30 am.
Yairipok Police Station have filed a case regarding the incident.
Meanwhile, condemning the brutal killing of the duo, Kuki Students Organisation, Sadar Hills (KSO-SH) has threatened that it will call an indefinite bandh in association with the villagers of 25 villages of Nongpok Keithelmanbi and adjoining areas in Sadar Hills if the culprits are not traced within 48 hours.
In a press conference held at Kuki Inn tonight, KSO-SH President Thangmilian Kipgen decried the State Government for not taking up timely positive action to save the two persons although memoranda were submitted.
The organisation also asked the concerned to clarify the reasons for killing the two persons.
