10 Myanmarese held at Churachandpur

Altogether 10 Myanmarese people including women were arrested by Churachandpur police from Vaal Veng, New Lamka.
This is not the first time that Myanmarese have been held at Churachandpur.
Earlier 80 Myanmarese were held at different localities during a raid Churachandpur on June 28, 2022, then on January 27 this year another 80 people from the neighbouring country were held at Tengnouopal district and on January 31, four more Myanmarese were held at Moreh.
Acting on inputs that some illegal Myanmarese Nationals were present at Vaal Veng, New Lamka area, two teams of Churachandpur police station led by the OC and the OC, Women police station, Churachandpur rushed to the area and conducted a search operation in the locality at around 3 pm today.
In the course of the search operation, suspected illegal Myanmarese people were seen running here and there on seeing the police personnel.
After a hot chase on the fields, ten suspected illegal Myanmarese Nationals were rounded up.
Their names are - 1) Mrs Zinmai (50) w/o Mr Aung Khai of Monywa, Myanmar 2) Ms Kyu Kyu (20) d/o Mr Kyi Soe of Mongwa, Myanmar 3) Ms Thi Thi (25) d/o Oophone of Mongwa, Myanmar 4) Ms Soe Soe (20) d/o Oophone of Mongwa, Myanmar 5) Mrs Khin Khin (25) w/o Mr Naing Win Tun of Mongwa, Myanmar 6) Ms Khin Moh Moh Zaw (20) d/o U Zaw Htet of Mongwa, Myanmar 7) Mr Zawn Htet (45) s/o Than Aung of Mongwa, Myanmar 8) Mr Aung Khaing (47) s/o Nyo Win of Mongwa, Myanmar 9) Mr Naing Win Tun (23) s/o U Than Tun Naing of Mongwa, Myanmar and 10) Mr Lalthakima (52) s/o Vanlalmuana of Tahan, Myanmar.
On preliminary verification, they admitted that they came to Churachandpur on different dates and years from Myanmar and were taking shelter secretly at Vaal Veng village, New Lamka.
They were arrested at 4.35 pm for entering India illegally.
A case has been registered against them under the Foreigners Act.
