Cabinet defers 7th pay proposal for MSPCL, MSPDCL, Electricity staff

The State Cabinet has deferred the discussion on 7th Manipur Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2019 for the staff of MSPCL and MSPDCL including the Electricity Department.
The decision was taken during a Cabinet meeting presided by the Chief Minister at his office, today.
Decisions to appoint two Scientific Officers (Electrical); one Scientific Officer (Mechanical), one Scientific Officer (IT), regularisation of 3 contractual staffs and upgrading 4 casual staffs to contractual staff were also taken to revamp MANIREDA.
The Cabinet also approved appointment of 3 Professors in JNIMS as supernumerary posts and it also increased the superannuation age from 60 to 62 years for Group A and Group B nursing personnel of Health and Family Welfare Department.
Regularisation of drivers in Manipur Secretariat and amendment of Manipur Health Service Rules, 1982 were also approved.

Upgrading 10 Government High Schools to Higher Secondary level and recruitment of 291 vacant posts in the School Education Department were also approved by the Cabinet.
Other decisions taken at the Cabinet meeting include filling up the vacant post of State Chief Information Commissioner and State Information Commissioner through direct recruitment; upgrading the post of Computer Operator in CAF & PD to Assistant Data Manager; appointing president and members of District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions; posts of Deputy Director to Olympian Shanglakpam Nilakanta Sharma (Sports promotion); posts of Assistant Director to Olympian Sushila Chanu Pukhrambam (Sports Promotion); dissolution of one post of Agriculture Officer in OBC & SC Department, re-designate two Agriculture Officer of OBC & SC as Field Inspector and regularisation of 14 staffs of OBC & SC .
