Imphal, March 04 2014 :
A day after she resigned from BJP, Oinam Indira has slammed her parent party saying that it has no sense of justice.
By allotting party ticket for the Lok Sabha election to a person who was involved in many graft cases, the party has further tarnished its image, Indira told media persons at Manipur Press Club today.
When she was with BJP, she attended many training programmes which were aim-ed at strengthening the party in the Northeastern States including Manipur and also to address underdevelopment of Manipur.
BJP national leaders not only gave due attention to the natural resources available in Manipur but also gave a pro-minent place in its Vision Do- cument, Indira said.
She was conferred a national award by BJP in 2008 apart from appointing her as the party's North East Industries Cell chairperson.
"It was after due consideration of BJP's efforts to- wards women empowerment that I went forward to fight the Lok Sabha election on the party's ticket but it turned out that there was gender discri-mination within the party and it has no sense of justice," In-dira asserted.
Yet, she maintained that she loves and trusts the party.
She also expressed her respect for BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
She said that resigned from BJP at the suggestion of her parties after the party's ticket was given to man involved in many graft cases who was still a new face in the party.
"As of now, I've not made up my mind whether I should contest the Lok Sabha election or not.
I would take a decision based on opinions of my supporters", Indira added.
