The State Vigilance Commission's report for 2015-16 was tabled at the State Assembly which commenced its monsoon session today.
During 2015-16, altogether 103 cases of 42 departments were registered against which the Commission recommended the State Government to take necessary action with regard to 19 cases.
Out of the 19 cases, the Commission recommended major penalties in four cases, minor penalties in four cases and recovery of funds in three cases under the Manipur Public Servants Personal Liability Act.
FIRs were also registered in four of these cases and charge-sheets were submitted in relevant Courts while Final Reports were submitted to Court in two other cases, said the report tabled at the Assembly today.
In connection with the four cases where FIRs were registered, 15 people were arrested.
The cases where FIRs were registered pertained to Power Department, Revenue Department and DRDA.
The Commission registered the maximum number of cases for School Education Department.
Altogether 19 cases were registered for the department.
