With 19 deaths, CCpur had 6.5 positive rate in Nov

CCpur, December 01 2020:
As COVID-19 cases continue to flare across the State, Churachandpur saw 19 deaths in November with a test positive rate of 6.5% and hovering at 2.1% above the National average.
Data compiled by the district health official has reflected that a total of 5721 COVED-19 tests were conducted in November, out of which 372 turned out to be positive.
611 of the tests were done via RT-PCR while the remaining 5110 tests were done with RAT.
Overall, the district added an average of 12 cases in a day to take its tally to 1815.However, the active COVID-19 cases has decreased to 117 as of today with the recovery rate estimated to be about 91.5% .
Having seen a flare up in cases in November, the State Health Department has since yesterday begun sero-surveillance in the district with two teams fanning out to collect blood samples from areas classified as Urban.
Two localities within New Lamka have been identified as hot-spot and non-hotspot categories in the Urban area.
The villages of Bungmual, Gangpimual, K Salbung, Saikot, Rengkai and D Phailian have been identified as village hotspots while Mata, Thingkangphai, Tuibong, Kamdou Veng, M Songgel and New Boljang has been identified as non-hotspots in rural areas.
