Governor leads in extending Id greetings

Imphal, June 25 2017:
Governor Dr Najma Heptulla, Chief Minister N Biren Singh and others have conveyed warm greetings and good wishes to the people of Manipur especially Muslim brethren on the joyous occasion of Id-ul-Fitr.
The Governor in her greeting said that Id-ul-Fitr not only spreads the message of peace, brotherhood and universal love but also entreats mankind to perform deeds of positive value to enhance the souls.
The message associated with this festival is most relevant in the present.
"While celebrating festivals like Id-ul-Fitr, let us strengthen the feeling of oneness and any ill-will should be either forgotten or forgiven," the Governor said while also calling upon all concerned to resolve to work together to preserve and propagate the message of peace, friendship and love.
Chief Minister N Biren said in his greeting message, "Id-ul-Fitr marks the end of Ramzan, the holy month of fasting.
The festival highlights the spirit of sacrifice and the joy of sharing.
It reflects the true spirit of the composite culture," .
He wished that the festival spread the message of peace, 'tolerance and harmony amongst all.
Extending greetings to the people, Lok Sabha MP (Inner) Dr Thokchom Meinya expressed his solemn desire to maintain peace and harmony amongst the people of Manipur and prayed that the festival rings in peaceful and prosperous Manipur.
IGAR (S) and all ranks ofAssam Rifles extended warm greetings and sincere goodwill to the people of the State on the auspicious occasion ofld-ul-Fitr.
In a message, IGAR (S) wished that the goodwill and harmony will bring the people together irrespective of caste, colour, creed and faith.
All India Trinamool Congress, Manipur Pradesh also extended warm greetings to the people on the occasion of Id-ul-Fitr.
All Manipur Ethnical Socio-Cultural Organisation (AMESCO) and Lilong Political Unified Link (LIPUL) have also conveyed their greetings to the Muslim community on the auspicious occasion of Id-ul-Fitr.
The organisations prayed for prosperity, violence-free State and peacefull coexistence amongst the different communities with the arrival of the festival.
The All India Trinamool Congress, All Manipur Ethnical Socio-Cultural Organisation (AMESCO) and Lilong Political Unified Link also conveyed warm wishes on the auspicious occasion of Rathyatra and Id-ul-Fitr.
