In continuation of the campaign, the student oragnisations have decided to ban sale of all Karnataka made goods in Manipur until their demands are met.
Drive to identify all Karnataka made goods in the market will also be launched soon.
He further informed that all individuals/agents coming to the state to enroll Manipuri students for studies in various institutions of Karnataka and making advertisements in this regard should leave the state within 24 hours with effect from 6 am of March 24 .
Thoithoi also appealed to all the hotel owners and others concerned not to provide lodging facilities to such individuals and warned that it should be the sole responsibility of the hotel owners concerned if any untoward incidents happen following non-compliance of the appeal of the agitating student bodies.
M Angamba, President of DESAM, who was also present at the press conference, said that the state government should send a team of Ministers to Bangalore and press the Karnataka government for handing over the case of Richard and Laaba to CBI.
The suspected students who are allegedly involved in the case should also be interrogated.
He also demanded the state government to make public the report of SP who was deputed by the state government to investigate in the case of Loitam Richard.
The attitude of the government in remaining silent over the issue is very unfortunate.
