Moreh, September 21 2014:
Border Trade and Chamber of Commerce, Moreh hosted an all Hindu community meeting today at its office premises to discuss the issue concerning the fencing of the All Hindu Community Cremation ground.
The meeting was presided by Surendar Singh Patheja, general secretary Border Trade and Chamber of Commerce, Moreh, M Thoiba Singh, president, Meetei Council, Moreh, KB Subramanium, Secretary, Tamil Sangam, Moreh, KBS Maniam, advisor, Tamil Sangam Moreh and Santosh Kumar, Jain president, Marwari Samaj.
Mention may be made here that the All Hindu Cremation ground's wall fencing was washed away following a heavy down pour.

The portion of the shed facing the river has been inundated by water overflowing from the river.
There is no safe place for storing firewood which would be used in cremation and the matter was discussed in the meeting.
The meeting concluded with a decision to submit a written application to MLA DK Korungthang, 42 Tengnoupal A/C, Lutkhosei, Zou Chairman, ADC Chandel, DC Chandel and to ADC Moreh demanding reconstruction of the cremation ground at the earliest.
The meeting was also attended by Punjabi, Bengali, Meitei and Tamil community leaders and social workers of the border town.
