People pay tributes to martyred soldiers, take out candle march processions in Jiribam and Kanglatongbi

The All Manipur Gorkha Students' Union (AMGSU) organized a massive candlelight vigil yesterday evening at Kanglatongbi as a marked of tribute to the martyred Indian soldiers in a terrorist attack at Pulwama in Jammu & Kashmir on February 14 .
The student body also held a condolence service at its office at Kanglatongbi before the candlelight vigil at around 5 pm where various State level civil society organization including Kanglatongbi Gram Panchayat also participated in paying homage to the martyred soldiers and prayed for the bereaved families.
Under the aegis of AMGSU, people of Kanglatongbi and its adjoining areas including men and women, boys and girls, old and young descended in huge numbers and gathered near the NH-2 at Kanglatongbi to show solidarity with the Indian forces and paid tributes to the brave martyrs who lost their life on the line of duty.
Joining hands in condemning the dastardly attack on soldiers in the strongest term, the gathering expressed deepest condolence to the martyred soldiers and prayed for eternal peace.
It also expressed heartfelt sorrow and prayed for patience, courage and strength to the bereaved families while they bear the irreparable loss of the nation.
"Remembering the wonderful sacrifice for the nation, the martyred soldiers will forever remain in our hearts and.
in Indian history forever", said LB Adhikari, president AMGSU while urging the people of Manipur to stand with them and pledged solidarity with the family of martyred soldiers.
"Jai Jawan" was also written with a candlelit as a marked of respect and tribute to the brave hearts CRPF jawan who sacrifice their lives for the nation in the deadly terrorist attack.
Jiribam: The people of Jiribam took out a candle march in Jiribam to pay homage to the martyred soldiers at Pulwama in Jammu & Kashmir.
The candle march rally was started from Kalinagar and ended at Irabot statue point of Babupara, Jiribam.
During the candle march, the protestors shouted slogan such as "Bharat Mata ki Jai", "Pakistan Murdabad", "Desh ki gadaro ko, goli maro salo ko" and so on.
Thereafter, at the Irabot point, the protestors lit candles around the photograph of Amar Jawan as a tribute to the brave hearted soldiers who laid down their life in a terror attack at Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking to the media persons, one of the protestors Chandrasakar Malakar said it was a brutal attack on the Indian soldiers by the terror group of Pakistan.
He added, today the people of Jiribam registered a protest condemning such attack and demanded to the government for revenge of such attack, so that their soul can rest in peace in the heavenly abode.
Thereafter, Veerjeet Singh, social worker also said the attack on the CRPF soldiers at Pulwama is a worst attack where 42 soldiers laid down their life.
He said today's candle march is a people's rally to pay tribute to the martyred soldiers.
He also added that the people of Jiribam also shared the pain of the bereaved families of the soldiers.
He also condemned such terrorist acts and appealed the Government to take befitting revenge.
